Deejay and producer 949 has dedicated his life to the scene before the screen play , props. Dripping of medals , the talented producer from Glen Cowie has not let his accolades stop him from reaching for more in life. He recalls playing alongside influencer Robot Boi but we guess his biggest moment was being picked as a finalist in the Back to the city 10k challenge in 2018.
Spotting chops in suits and slices in his playlist , 949 has earned himself the title of being resident Deejay for two of the biggest hip hop events in Limpopo which are Hip Hop in the park and Hip Hop Cares Socials. Classy is not just the definition of the music he plays. The 2018 Hip Hop Cares Awards producer of year has a side hustle where he sells drip. His store Suits Plug sells two and three piece suits and they deliver country wide.
In his latest stint , he has taken interest in deejaying with live instruments. These sets have made him popular on social media where he showcases covers and his sampled classics.
949 believes that music is just the door way to expression and this is why he is now part of cycling club where they take long scenic rides. He cites the experience as one that money cannot buy.
Our personal experience with the humble producer /deejay can be described as edgy. His existence is almost a dream only seen on tv and high end social circles. 949 has shown to be on the brink of a non revertible break. He is reliable and always prepares for his appearances , big or small. We hope to see him in other projects that shine light to his finesse and potential.
